Once your items are relocated, we will then start the cleaning and restoration process of your items damaged by water, fire and smoke using several methods including:
-
Dry Cleaning
To pre-clean residues before wet cleaning and used for the light removal of non-grease based soils. -
Wet Cleaning
This is an aggressive and effective way to remove moderate to heavy residues. -
Spray and Wipe
This is used to effectively clean materials and items that might be damaged if saturated with cleaning products. -
Foam Cleaning
Used for fabrics and upholstery that might shrink when wet or to prevent materials or fabrics with dyes that might bleed. -
Abrasive Cleaning
Used when a surface or material needs the surface to be agitated to be cleaned. -
Immersion Cleaning
Items or materials that can withstand being submerged or completely saturated with cleaning product.
If you have electronic equipment that you believe may have been damaged by water or smoke, it is important NOT to turn on electrical equipment. Smoke residues can create acids that can corrode metal surfaces. It is important to take quick action to prevent further damage. If the residues and acids are not removed quickly, corrosion will cause failure in the devices.
If you have sensitive documents that have been damaged by smoke or water, extreme caution should be taken to help ensure that the documents can be saved and restored. Because these documents will be paper, it is likely that they cannot be fully restored; quick action by us can help reduce and minimize further damage.
We will use Air Drying or Dehumidification techniques (or both) to restore your documents, depending on the type of damage and the type of document.
